The Burnt Hills Veterinary Hospital has been a family run practice providing the Best of Care to the Best of Friends since 1950.  Routinely voted the Best Veterinary hospital in the capital region, we strive to provide cutting edge medicine while maintaining a personal feel.  We continually challenge our doctors and staff to increase their knowledge through continuing education and professional dialogue.  We are also making an investment in the next generation of veterinary professionals!  Keep reading to hear about current opportunities.

Externships, Apprenticeships, Preceptorships, Shadowing and so many more opportunities

Prior to enrollment in advanced educational opportunities, and part of the curriculum of most veterinary programs, colleges encourage off-campus educational opportunities in a variety of hospitals and clinics.  Receiving hands on experience in a busy, progressive hospital can help set you apart from your peers.  Our programs are dedicated to adding challenging, diverse and unique experiences to your veterinary resume.

No matter where you are in your veterinary career, we have a program for you.  Each of the programs listed below provide significant mentorship as well as exposure to a large variety of services.  Our externs are given the opportunity to work alongside our entire veterinary team; from our doctors, to our licensed veterinary technicians, to our animal caretakers to our human resource and clinical directors.  We encourage thoughtful questions and discussions while providing ample opportunity to have direct exposure to the newest and greatest medicine has to offer.
